LENS Neurofeedback Treatment
Neurofeedback is direct training where the brain’s function is observed in real time while “re-training” the brain with audio and visual operant conditioning. LENS Neurofeedback is considered non-traditional neurofeedback, (also called EEG Biofeedback) because it is based on electrical brain activity without any audio or visual stimulation. This allows LENS Neurofeedback to promote self-regulation. Self-regulation is a necessary part of optimal brain performance and function, allowing the nervous system to function better. Unlike most treatments, neurofeedback actually targets the root of the problem.
This kind of neurofeedback operates much more rapidly than “traditional” neurofeedback methods. A typical session lasts only few minutes, and the client does not have to “do” anything. This means that LENS helps people who have trouble focusing or sitting still.
We apply sensors to the scalp to capture brainwave activity, processing the signal through our software. Using extracted data from the client’s brainwaves, we bring this information back to the clients scalp via sensors. Brain-maps are created and used to track the client’s progress.
Each client’s EEG signals (brain waves) are unique to them and constantly changing. The LENS measures these ever-changing signals of the client and matches the feedback to the client’s own neurological blueprint.

The sessions are brief and gentle (usually the client feels nothing during the session), and most changes are lasting. Those with generalized anxiety will need treatment monthly or quarterly to maintain results.
LENS works well with problems of the Central Nervous System, which are numerous. LENS can help with:
LENS is also used to improve performance. Who would benefit?
The LENS software identifies the dominant frequency (the frequency associated with the highest amplitude wave) at any moment and mirrors this information back to the brain. In other words, the brain is receiving a subset of the information that the brain itself is generating. Regarding wavelength range: the software monitors the EEG at the scalp, and tracks 1-42Hz waves, ignoring any waves above 42 Hz.

The brain divides responsibilities among specialized regions: the prefrontal cortex handles logic and reasoning, while the limbic system controls emotions. Movement and coordination are governed by the motor cortex and cerebellum, and sensory processing is managed by the parietal and occipital lobes. Neurofeedback therapy targets specific areas of the brain to improve function where needed.
